Hotel Review: Swissotel The Stamford, Singapore

Other than the Take That concert tickets, our prize also includes free flights to Singapore as well as one night accommodation at Swissotel The Stamford, Singapore. Having previously stayed here at this hotel, we knew that we would have a great stay.

Swissotel The Stamford is easily accessible; from the airport, we took the MRT to City Hall, arriving in under 30 mins. A short walk from the MRT, and we have arrived at the hotel lobby. Check-in was promptly carried out; as we were ahead of scheduled check-in time, the hotel offered us a classic room with double beds.

We headed to our Classic Room, on the 36th Floor, with views of the city. Each room comes with a private balcony for you to enjoy the view. The beds are comfortable and we had a good night's sleep. Since there is a bathtub in the room, I enjoyed a long, relaxing soak before checking out. Each room also comes with hair dryer, mini bar, tea/coffee making facilities, LCD TV, electronic safe, large work desk and ergonomic desk chair. Wifi is usually chargable for this room category, however if you have the Swissotel Circle card (which you can join for free), then you will get complimentary wifi with your stay.

There are two swimming pools, located on the 8th Floor, however we didnt have time to visit the pool. There is also a fitness centre, tennis courts and spa available. View from our room - city view and pool.

Our room came with one breakfast, guests can choose to go to Cafe Swiss or Kopitiam. Hubby went for breakfast at Cafe Swiss, and enjoyed the continental breakfast spread there including a full English breakfast, fresh juices (made to order), bread, e fu noodles and cheese. We had hoped to dine at JAAN again during our visit, but unfortunately the restaurant was closed for refurbishment.

As the hotel was running at full capacity, the hotel was unable to extend late checkout to us, however they offered us usage of their Hospitality Lounge located on the 8th Floor. The lounge had comfortable seats, tea/coffee making facilities, TV, magazines as well as a toilet/shower. Oh and it came with a very nice view as well of Marina Bay. We spent a couple of hours here since we had time to kill before our flight back to KL.
